What Are Nameservers and Why Do They Matter?

Nameservers are a fundamental part of how the internet works. When someone types your domain into a browser, nameservers are responsible for translating that domain name into the IP address where your website actually lives. Without properly configured nameservers, your website simply won't be reachable.

At Nobregas.org, we use our own nameserver infrastructure to ensure fast DNS resolution, high availability, and full control over your hosting environment.

Nobregas.org Nameserver Tiers

Our nameserver infrastructure is organized into tiers, each designed to match the hosting plan you're on. As your needs grow, higher tiers offer enhanced performance, redundancy, and priority routing.

Coal Tier – Entry-Level Nameservers

The Coal Tier is our entry-level hosting tier, perfect for getting started with a reliable and affordable hosting environment.

If you're on the Coal Tier plan, your nameservers are:

  • Primary Nameserver: webns1.nobregas.org
  • Secondary Nameserver: webns2.nobregas.org
These should be entered exactly as shown when configuring your domain at your registrar.

How to Point Your Domain to Nobregas.org

  1. Log in to your domain registrar's control panel (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare).
  2. Navigate to DNS Settings or Nameserver Management.
  3. Replace the existing nameservers with the ones provided for your tier.
  4. Save the changes.
Note: DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 48 hours, depending on your registrar and TTL settings.

More Tiers Coming Soon

We are actively expanding our nameserver infrastructure with additional tiers to support higher-traffic websites, business hosting, and enterprise-grade requirements. Each upcoming tier will offer dedicated nameserver pairs with improved performance and geographic redundancy.

Stay tuned for updates as new tiers are announced.
