Changing your account password regularly is a fundamental security practice. The Nobregas MySQL Panel lets you update your login password from the Profile page — the change takes effect immediately.

Step-by-Step: Changing Your Password

  1. Log in at mysql.nobregas.org.
  2. Click your avatar (user icon) in the top-right corner and select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Change Password section.
  4. Enter your current password for verification.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. Confirm the new password by typing it again.
  7. Click Change Password.

Your password is updated immediately. Your current session remains active, but your next login will require the new password.

Password Requirements

  • Minimum 8 characters long.
  • Use a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters for maximum strength.
  • Do not reuse passwords from other websites or services.

When to Change Your Password

  • Regularly — Change it every 3-6 months as a precaution.
  • After a security concern — If you suspect someone else knows your password.
  • After using a shared computer — If you logged in from a public or shared machine.
  • After a data breach — If any service you use reports a breach, change passwords on all related accounts.
  • When leaving a team — If shared access was used, change the password to revoke it.

What Changes

  • Your login credentials are updated. Use the new password for all future logins.
  • Active sessions on other devices may be invalidated (log in again with the new password).

What Does Not Change

  • Your databases, users, and data remain untouched.
  • Your database user passwords are separate — this only affects your panel login.
  • Your API key is not affected.
  • Your profile name and email stay the same.

Account Password vs. Database User Password

These are completely independent. Changing your account password does not affect any database user credentials.

Security Tips

  • Use a password manager — Tools like Bitwarden, 1Password, or KeePass generate and store strong, unique passwords.
  • Never share your password — Not even with support. Nobregas support will never ask for your password.
  • Enable two-factor authentication if available for an extra layer of protection.
